SHE-LEBRATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH!

Happy Women’s History Month, you GLORYOUS gals!

All month long, we’ll be she-lebrating iconic and #SoaperWomen in history (as well as present-day kick-ass girl bosses)! We hope you find their accomplishments and stories as inspiring as we do.

Let us know praise some really KICK-ASS women…

FIRST UP! Amelia Earhart…  Now ever-so-famous, Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly SOLO across the Atlantic Ocean… Gulp! But, in true kick-ass style, a red eye wasn’t enough for Amelia – she wanted to be the first woman to fly around the world. That’s just PLANE bold.

Susan B. Anthony was championing women’s and human rights before it was even cool… yup, we’re talking almost 150 years ago! She also casually cast an illegal ballot in the 1872 presidential election and was fined $100… but she never paid the fine. Sorry not sorry!  Talk about KICK ASS.

The ever-so sassy Victoria Woodhull was no stranger to knowing that girls can do anything they want to (all whilst having totally great hair, JUST SAYING!)  Victoria was a MAJOR champion for equal rights, spending much of her career fighting for equality, before being nominated as a presidential candidate for the Equal Rights Party in 1872.

Elizabeth Blackwell was such a BAD ASS female that she became the FIRST female General Practitioner almost 200 years ago.. She definitely couldn’t have been squeamish at all… just IMAGINE what surgery would have looked like back then!? Us? We come over all faint and wobbly at hospital shows on TV….

Did you know that this kick-ass chick, Valentina Tereshkova, was the first woman to have flown in space and spent three days out there orbiting the Earth back in 1963?! Crazy! Having no fear of heights to that extreme? We reckon that’s cosmopolitan AND cosmonaut. Girl Power!
